Nice stay with minor flaws
We spent a night in a cozy little room. It was modern and super clean, but felt a bit small and cramped. The breakfast staff were on point, handling everything really quick. We also loved having Netflix on the TV to chill after our day. A bit understaffed at times though, had to wait for help.

I loved how the room was modern and very clean. Enjoyed a lovely cooked breakfast that hit the spot! The garden area was perfect for unwinding with some peaceful seating and a picturesque view. Just a heads-up that the TV reception could be a bit spotty, but it didn’t take away from my great experience. 😊

The deluxe double room was well-appointed and immaculately clean, providing a comfortable retreat. Dining options exceeded expectations, with evening meals and breakfasts that were notably better than the nearby pub. The staff made a lasting impression, especially Donna and Marina, who created a welcoming atmosphere. the hotel was quiet to the point of feeling empty, and some common areas could benefit from a bit more attention. Despite this, the hotel's value and quality of service shine through.

I enjoyed my stay here for its excellent restaurant serving surprisingly good food and the friendly staff who looked after me throughout my visit, making it a great base for exploring the nearby Ipswich Art School and Gallery just a bit over 5 km away, as well as the beautiful River Gipping that’s less than 5 km from the hotel, perfect for a lovely walk.

My stay was fantastic, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure I had a comfortable experience. The deluxe double room was pristine and cozy, while the breakfast was freshly made and full of delightful options. I felt warmly welcomed and appreciated the attentiveness of the team. The only downside was that the room could use a bit more soundproofing to minimize outside noise.

I gotta say, the breakfast was hot and delicious, you can really taste the care they put into it. Staff treated us like kings, nothing was too much trouble for them, they really nailed the atmosphere.
It wasn’t exactly a bargain but for what you get, I’d say it’s acceptable.

Ample free parking makes arriving a breeze, and the building is well-maintained, giving off a solid vibe. The thoughtful room setup, especially the comfortable bed and pillows, really helped in getting a decent night's sleep.
Dining options felt a bit misleading since prices weren’t available on the menus, which made us hesitant to eat there. The bar had a strange scene in the morning with workmen indulging in beers, which didn't sit right in a place that should scream relaxation. On top of that, our room had a firm mattress that would suit some but left me wishing for a softer landing after a long day. Located just across the road is a Greene King pub, which turned out to be a convenient fallback for meals when the hotel options felt a bit daunting.
